How will CAN support Strong Leadership?

CAN will build future capacity and support succession planning by offering greater leadership opportunities across and within schools.  This will include representation of their phase (i.e. primary, secondary) at the Board of Directors and/or secondment into a role to develop skills

With schools of all phases (eg primary, secondary) represented at Director level, there will be equal access to opportunities for planning CAN’s future direction and priorities.  This will result in the creation of  close working relationships between Local Governing Bodies and the Board of Directors

Building capacity for joint problem solving e.g. how best to develop or commission additional support services to benefit students across schools

Tackling issues and challenges and recommending future strategy through setting short term working groups

Offering best practice opportunities to ensure that each school continues to review and develop the quality of its provision so that Ofsted or other inspections confirm good and outstanding practice
